Carlo Giallo su Sfondo di Tre Cani
Duo exhibition
with Carlo Zinelli, 2016
Altrove Gallery, Catanzaro (Italy)

Curated by Edoardo Suraci
In this duo exhibition CANEMORTO paid tribute to one of their myths: the Italian outsider artist Carlo Zinelli, who spent most of his life in a psychiatric hospital, drawing for eight hours a day. The trio adopted Carlo’s technique (strictly tempera and ink on paper), his subjects and his obsessive seriality, creating a body of 300 drawings displayed on the four gallery walls in an intense dialogue with three double-sided works by Carlo, exhibited in the middle of the room.
